Designing a website whether it be a personal website,business website, ecommerce or a website to make
make money is more complex than what most people realise.
Website designing takes time. It takes commitment. And it takes alot of learning.Thats why it's easier to get a webdesigner to do

Webdesign is all about what you need to concentrate on depending on the type of website you are wanting.
Here is some basic tips on the basics of what you need to concentrate on, and think about:
Website design
1/A well setout attractive website keeps viewers. Don't settle for anything less. Picking the right colors for your website design is very
important so using web safe colors should be priority. Have you ever had to tilt your screen to read the writing?
Then you know what I'm talking about!Bright colors make your eyes water over time.(not a good thing)
I still don't know why webdesigners out there are still using black as their body color."crazy".
Keep images,boxes,text,etc all lined up in your website design. Otherwise, your website will look cheap,messy, and
unprofessional.
There are plenty of Webdesign resources on the internet for designing your website. We all like free website design
programs. Here is one that i totally recommend and used when i was starting out.
Eversoft First Page:
Great free webpage editing program. I've tried heaps of free website design editing programs in my time and found this
one to be great and easy to learn. A must, even if you use dreamweaver, this is great to have on your desktop.
The only thing with Eversoft is it has a reminder screen which pops up at start and finish for only 5 seconds.
A great web design page editor.
Images in your Website design
Images will spice up your website design if used correctly. Only use small sized images on your pages.
If you need to show customers a full sized image, then link the small sized image to it. Otherwise your website pages
will take too long to load. Who wants to hang around for that?
Ensure all your images/photos that you use in your website design are in focus, and don't try
and enlarge a small sized image. It just doesn't work well.
Make sure your image/photo in your website design corresponds to the text that it is referred to.If there is no text;put some in!
Wordwrapping is a handy tool for this. Alt text should always be used with all images/photos. Its
a great way to describe the image and useful for website search engines indexing your website thus
increasing website traffic.
There are plenty of website design photo/image programs on the internet but again here is one i totally recommend
when starting out.
Photofilter:
Again, this is a great website design image editing free software which is easy to learn, fun to play with and has alot
of great effects. Great for all your Webdesign needs.
Even if you have adobe photoshop etc, its still worth having on your desktop. I still use my free version all the time
for resizing images, and applying rounded boxes quickly.
Traffic to your website
Plenty of content; If you can't think of anything to type yourself, then i recommend RSS feeds.
DON'T use javascript source feed scripts for your website design. They will not help you get traffic to your website.
The search engines cannot read what's in a javascript source!
This is quite a process to achieve alot of traffic to your completed website design project.
Alot of companies reckon they have it mastered, and charge you for it.
The website designers that have got it
mastered won't tell anyone the secrets to success. And why should they?.
Getting traffic to your completed website design project is not about chucking alot of content on your pages and hoping
for the best. Its about taking alot of time optimizing and website designing each page to fit your requirements.
Don't think of your website as a whole. Each page of your web design is what you need to concentrate on.
Remember, you should only be looking for a good ranking with one or two keywords or phrases in each Webdesign page.
Submitting your completed web design pages to directories are another great way of getting traffic to your website.
But remember; ensure your website is finished first or it could be just a great big fizzer.
Keep track of your traffic. Google has a great tracking resource to see how many visitors have come to your
website.
Making money off your website(ads)
Picking the right adprovider and placing of the ads into your website design is very important.
To make money off your website design you are going to need traffic. Its as simple as that.
If you get tons of traffic, then you will get tons of clicks on your websites advertisements.
Read the 'Traffic to your Website' section. Make sure your not one of the ones to get junk ads.
Users know them and you won't get many,if any clicks. Then all that Webdesign work would've just gone
out the door. Check your ads out by viewing your website live. If they look like something you wouldn't click
on, then get rid of it.
